If you’ve never heard the story of how Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a former Muslim from Somalia and subsequently outspoken atheist who then became a Christian, then you’re in for a treat. Focus on the Family has recently published a short fourteen minute summary of her conversion. The video is called, From Burka to Born Again, and is part of a much larger project called Truth Rising which is brilliant.

The documentary, Truth Rising, features many Christians and intellectual thought leaders in the world today. The whole thing is narrated by Os Guinness—yes, his is a descendent of the man who made the world-famous beer—who has himself a remarkable story of coming to faith in Christ

There are also a number of incredible stories of ordinary people standing for the truth. People like the children’s rights advocate, Katy Faust, Seth Dillon who is the founder of The Babylon Bee, and also ‘that’ Christian cake baker in Colorado who has sued for declining to bake a cake to celebrate a gay wedding.

Every now and again a documentary comes along which you’ll want to share and re-share with everyone you meet. The videos linked above are two such examples. As Augustine in 386 AD was reported to have heard a child’s voice singing the words, “Tolle, lege” (which, when translated roughly means, “Take & Read”) in a garden, prompting him to open the Bible and permanently convert to Christianity, so to you should “Tolle, videre” – which means, ‘Take & See’.
