I remember … when the lights went out Melbourne had an enormous electricity outage recently, caused by a brief but fierce storm taking down some key power lines. Thankfully power […]
It reminded me of an outage which occurred one day during a service at St Kilda Presbyterian Church. We were singing ‘I Am Trusting You, Lord Jesus’ when the organ suddenly stopped.
Our organist moved from the organ to the nearby piano and we took up where we’d left off: ‘I am trusting You for power, Yours will never fail; words which You Yourself will give me, must prevail …’
I kid you not. This is a true story of a ‘God-thing’. The world might speak of ‘co-incidences’, but for Christians they are ‘God-incidences.’ And just one more thing: this is a beaut little sermon illustration or something to use in a children’s address.
