CALIFORNIANS ROCKED BY ANTI FAMILY LAW
Pro-family advocates are outraged over a new California law that pushes schools to deceive parents, essentially telling teachers and administrators to hide the truth about children’s requests to change their gender identity. In response to the new law, billionaire businessman Elon Musk announced he’s abandoning California and moving his X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX businesses out of the state. Musk t tweeted: “The state will take away your kids in California.”
The California law was aimed at certain school districts that had created policies to treat parents as allies when their students are suffering from gender dysphoria. LGBTQ activists say the law was needed because some households aren’t accepting of children’s gender choices.
The California Family Council President Jonathan Keller said, “By allowing schools to withhold vital information from mothers and fathers, this bill undermines their fundamental role and places boys and girls in potential jeopardy.”

PRAY FOR NIGERIAN COUPLE ABDUCTED IN NIGERIA
Please lift up in prayer Nigerian pastor Paul Musa, 59, and his wife Ruth, 50. PRAY that Pastor Paul and Ruth will soon be released unharmed. Until then, ask the Lord to draw near to them and comfort them in their captivity. [Source: Barnabas Aid]

CHRISTIAN WITNESS AT THE PARIS OLYMPICS 2024
Youth With A Mission built a schedule of events, including street worship and prayer, that spans three weeks and coincides with the international competition. The effort kicked off with 100 days of prayer starting in mid-April in conjunction with French churches and both local and international ministries. Sky Grimes with YWAM Paris Connect reports: “We’re working with local churches – churches with other countries. We’re trying to activate Paris with us.” With so much attention on the games, some current and retired Christian athletes are seizing the opportunity to point others to the one thing they prize above sport and athleticism: sharing the love of Christ with others. [Source: CBN News]

1 YEAR SINCE OVER 40 PEOPLE – SCHOOL PUPILS IN THEIR MID-TEENS – WERE KILLED
It is now more than a year since over 40 people, almost all school pupils in their mid-teens, were killed in an Islamist attack on a boarding school in Mpondwe, Kasese District, in Christian-majority Uganda, close to the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Pupils were singing Gospel songs at evening worship before the attackers from Islamic State Central Africa Province (also known as the Allied Democratic Forces), based in north-eastern DRC, launched their assault after 10pm local time on 16 June 2023. Continue to PRAY for the Lord’s comfort to surround the bereaved and traumatised and ask for His protection over our brothers and sisters on both sides of the border as the threat of anti-Christian violence persists. THE STATE OF THE UNION: SOME BIBLE VERSES
God’s Word states, ā€œBlessed is the nation whose God is the Lordā€ (Psalm 33:12).
*ā€œWe acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, & the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against youā€ (Jer 14:20).
*ā€œI now pray before you day and night . . . confessing the sins of the people of Israel, which we have sinned against you. Even I and my father’s house have sinned. We have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules that you commanded . . .ā€ (Nehemiah 1:6–7).
