Bruce Bennett, a veteran church pastor and planter talks to AP about the ministry initiative, Vocational Bible College which is designed to equip people—especially in country areas—to practically serve Jesus in their local church or on the mission field.
One of the problems with Bible College is they can be overly academic and also difficult for people who come from regional areas to attend. It can not only mean relocating family at great financial and relational cost but the training is delivered in a tertiary format which appeals to only 30% of the people who have a university degree.
Bruce talks about the benefits of a more practical program that is still reformed and evangelical in theology. This is a courageous ministry initiative to help people think outside the box on how to help people become disciplers of disciples.
